The SDDE Smith Group hosted the Straight Mile Series at Redcar Racecourse this year.
WOODSmith proudly sponsored the final handicap, which took place on Redcar’s richest day on Saturday 7th October, Two Year Old Trophy Day.
The race was won by 4 year old race horse Painters Palette, trained by Rebecca Menzies. Thanks to Rebecca’s incredible training, Painters Palette also won one of the qualifying races.
This week, Painters Pallete was sold for a whopping £165,000 at Tattersalls!
The SDDE Smith Group Straight Mile Series consisted of 11 races throughout the season, with a combined winning prize total of £142,250.
