MFC Hardwick Bar Commercial Project
WOODSmith Construction Group’s commercial team were tasked with creating a new hospitality space at Middlesbrough Football Club. WOODSmith’s team worked with Styled Interior Design to complete an extensive renovation of the existing hospitality suite.
The key objective was to create an inviting sports bar that could comfortably accommodate up to 200 patrons. The bar was fittingly named after George Hardwick, the legendary Middlesbrough and England football player.
The inspiration flowed from fan zones, translating into a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. Bright primary colours played a pivotal role in establishing an uplifting and cheerful environment, amplifying the sense of camaraderie among fans. The design was centred around encapsulating the vibrancy and joy of the football experience.
Big Build
The process involved dismantling of the existing elements, stripping the dated hospitality suite down to its bare bones. Once the slate was clean, the redesign phase unfolded.
Full decoration and painting throughout. Booth seating underwent reupholstering, breathing new life into the space but ensuring both comfort and visual appeal.
A new bar area has been added, with meticulous cladding work, ensuring that the bar emerged as both a functional centrepiece and a visually striking focal point.
Tight Turnaround
Only a four week turnaround time and the looming dates of the new season’s football fixtures.
In addition one of the notable challenges was maximising the transformation on a limited budget. Despite this, the aim was to deliver a significant impact with resourceful solutions.
However, through detailed planning and meticulous execution, WOODSmith Construction successfully overcame these hurdles.
Remarkable Results
The end result is a vibrant football-centric bar, adorned with bright colours and contemporary allure, tailored to host a multitude of match day guests.
