MFC Fenton Club Commercial Project

WOODSmith Construction Group’s commercial team were tasked with creating a new hospitality space at Middlesbrough Football Club. WOODSmith’s team worked with Styled Interior Design to complete an extensive renovation of the existing hospitality suite.

Drawing inspiration from the legacy of Micky Fenton, an illustrious England player and MFC icon, the Fenton Club incorporates his jersey displayed within a cabinet as an homage. The ambience of gentleman’s clubs, distinguished by their elegant environments, further inspired the design direction.

Big Build

The transformation process included installing luxury carpet tiles, adding decorative panels to the walls for a polished look, and carefully cladding the pillars to match the room’s theme seamlessly.

Bronze antique style radiators were thoughtfully included, both functional and charming in their appeal.

The cladding extended to the bar and tea point, giving them a fresh appearance that blends seamlessly with the room’s overall design.

Tight Turnaround

The transformation was not without its challenges, most noted being the four week rime schedule, dictated by impending football fixtures.

Balancing the transformation within a modest budget demanded resourcefulness. The objective was to achieve a substantial impact through innovative solutions that optimised available resources.

Remarkable Results

The end result is an inviting haven, evoking an ambiance of refined relaxation, a testament to the seamless blend of construction and design, ready to be enjoyed on match days.

A huge thank you to our reliable and brilliant subcontractors in RTS Joinery, Grieg Flooring and SE Decorators. And, to CORE Systems for their pivotal role in the visualisation of the design, envisioning the lounge through CGI’s and floor plans.
